A Beginners’ Guide to… is AJ’s flagship live show series that bridges entertainment and education. Designed specifically for adults, it offers a credible, funny, and brilliant nights out that allows everyone to engage with learning beyond the classroom.
A Beginner’s Guide to Ancient Egypt
Pyramids. Pharaohs. Spells. Few civilizations capture the imagination quite like Ancient Egypt: a world of mystery, magic and mildly concerning burial practices. Now, award-winning comedian and amateur Egyptologist AJ Lamarque (Celebrity Letters & Numbers, ABC Radio Evenings) invites you to unwrap the myths in a crash course 5,000 years in the making.
After selling out across Australia in 2026, AJ is bringing his hit show back for a select encore season in 2027:
