A seasoned presenter and a regular guest on ABC Evening Radio (NSW & ACT), AJ Lamarque has hosted talks and shows nationwide as well as TV appearances including: SBS’s Celebrity Letters and Numbers; Australian Museum’s Ramses and the Gold of Pharaohs talk series; TimeOut Sydney’s Arts & Culture Awards; UNSW’s SciFest; and SXSW Sydney interviewing the Federal Minister for Industry & Science, the Hon Ed Husic MP. He is also the 2025 Pride in Basketball Ambassador for Basketball NSW.
AJ speaks on a wide range of topics with humour, intelligence and warmth. He holds a degree in biomedical science and spends his spare time studying Middle Egyptian hieroglyphs, which gives him a unique ability to bring audiences into unexpected and fascinating territory. His work explores identity, human behaviour and culture, while also addressing themes such as masculinity, inclusion, leadership and the way we connect in modern life. As a passionate basketball player and advocate for diversity in sport, AJ brings a well-rounded and relatable perspective that makes him a versatile host across both creative and corporate settings.
